It's A Wrap - 2019 QRF Annual Results for Rachies Ratirement Home

It was a fantastic year for Rachie's Ratirement Home rodents (and humans!) at the Queensland Rodent Fanciers Shows.

Earlier in 2019, a decision was made to allow those who adopted from the rescue to use a prefix just like registered breeders do. The initials RRH didn't roll off the tongue as easy, so we decided on RSQ given how similar it sounds to 'rescue'. It's an honour being able to have a prefix at shows, as it gives recognition to the work of Rachie's Ratirement Home, as well as the owners who take such good care of their beloved RSQ pets.

In 2019, we had 86 placements (awards and certificates) across the two types of classes. In Pet Class, we had 59 placements, and in Varieties Class we had 27 placements, including two Reserve in Show awards.

These numbers are a reflection on our commitment to the health and wellbeing of all rodents who arrive and depart from the rescue. While we don't want to brag too much, we wanted to share all the results with you. Check them out below!
